Welcome
Andrew Moodie, Director of Music from 1998, having previously held this post from 1982 - 92, stepped down on December 31st 2020. The church has decided not to make a new appointment at this stage. Ian Smith will play for services and organise adult practices and arrangements are being made for chorister training for your people.
We were able to hold a reduced Nine Lessons and Carols, and the final service in church in 2020 was on Christmas morning. Services are now moving to being pre-recorded and online, until the church is able to hold live services again in 2021.
Why are we different?
If you would like to sing in a good choir, offering high standards of music and training without the heavy commitment required by other local churches, this might be the choir for you. All that is asked is that you make and honour a commitment to practices and services you are able to attend.
Our choir offers opportunities for young people to develop their singing and musical skills. We use the RSCM Voice for Life training scheme, which also introduces elements of Christian training. If you are interesting in finding out more about singing with us, we would like to hear from you.
We would also like to hear from potential tenors and basses. If you would like to sing with a choir with a good musical tradition which does not demand too much of your time then please email the Director of Music Andrew Moodie = akjmoodie@aol.com
Practices: Chorister Training for Young Singers 4.45pm - 5.45pm Tuesdays; Full Practice for Adults and Young Singers 6.45pm - 7.45pm Fridays
