Practices
The main choir practice is on Friday evenings, between 6.45 and 8.00. During this rehearsal, the choir covers all the music for the weekend's services, and sometimes music for future services and events. These rehearsals encourage the choir to achieve a high standard of singing.
The choir also meets 20 minutes before each service for a final rehearsal.
There is a practice for the younger members of the choir on Tuesdays in term time between 4.45 and 5.45pm. During this time the choristers practise together, then work in small groups to advance their singing and musicianship skills and understanding of the church liturgy. They are prepared for the RSCM bronze, silver and gold awards and over recent years several choir members have achieved gold standard.
